The Alden brand name was first registered by the Korean Muse Incorporated company in 2003, as a collaboration with UK guitar designer Alan Entwhistle (Alden derives from his name ALan David ENtwhistle). Entwhistle has been designing guitars since 1962 and the Alden range draws on some of the more interesting classic designs of the last 5 decades. Although none are exact copies you can clearly see Vox, Zemaitis and Mosrite influences in various models.

During 1950s and 1960s the Alden mail order catalog also sold guitars under the Alden brand: Link Aldens Catalog Guitars.
