Christopher Dean first became fascinated by the guitar in his teens while learning to play the instrument. Having also been a keen model-maker he began making his own instruments in 1978. He set up his own business in 1985, after completing his instrument making studies at the London College of Furniture and then working for a while for Paul Fischer.

Dean specialises in classical guitars, having studied the great guitars by Hauser, Santos Hernandez and Torres. He offers his own concert guitar model as well as historic models inspired by Hauser and Santos Hernandez designs.
