Col Joye acoustic and electric guitars were distributed in Australia from 1959 until the early 1960s. Col Joye was one of the first big Australian rock and roll stars and his name was used to market a range of inexpensive Japanese made guitars. These Col Joye models were the first instruments of many budding Australian guitar players, including a young Tommy Emmanuel.
