Information:

DDK Guitars are hand crafted by luthier Daniel Delaney Krugman in his workshop in Brooklyn, NY. Dan first took an interest in working on guitars as a young player, continually adjusting and modifying his own instruments in the search for ultimate tone and playability. In his twenties, working in fields ranging from theater to academia, his interest in stringed instruments never left him. He eventually began to repair and customize instruments for musicians he knew and word spread. Around that time, he also began to build his own guitars and developed a particularly deep appreciation for archtops, for which he is primarily now known.

In addition to working on instruments, Dan also enjoys teaching others about the practice, history, and science of lutherie. Highlights include leading a wood-bending workshop for teens at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and a public program on the history and construction of the steel string guitar at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He also offers private classes teaching players how to set up their own guitars for optimum playability and care.

Dan is a member of both the Guild of American Luthiers, and the Association for Stringed Instrument Artisans. He is also a founding member and organizer of the NYC Woodworkers Guild.
