Ground FX was founded in 2017 by Ben Laging. Ground FX are hand made boutique guitar effects pedals built in Hamburg Germany. In 2021 Ben started to offer the Kodex electric guitar alongside pedals and as a result changed the company name to Kodex Audio around 2022.
