Øystein Husemoen studied at the Musical Instrument Academy in Sarpsborg, Norway, and gained his skilled craftsman certificate for stringed instruments in 2002. He founded Husemoen Guitars in his home town of Lillehammer in 2003. Husemoen Guitars is now one of few professional workshops for building and repairing guitars in Norway.
