Juan Hernández was born in Turís (Valencia) in 1948. He apprenticed to Esteve guitar workshop at the age of 15 and eventually became the head of the workshop. Now he has his own company employing four luthiers (including his son) making classical and flamenco guitars. They also make special models including a Torres model, a small bodied Romántica model and 8 & 10 string models.
