Tony Karol made his first electric guitar in 1978 with the help of his high school music teacher. Once he had finished education in the late 1980s he began making electric guitars in his spare time. By 1999 he had progressed to making acoustic guitars and in 2002 was able to go full time as a guitar builder. He currently makers around 10 acoustic guitars per year. Since 2003 he has been training aspiring luthiers in electric and acoustic guitar construction.
