Lorita Basses was established in Barcelona by Xavier Lorita. Lorita made his first instrument in 1996 and in 1999 he began an apprenticeship at JD Basses in Barcelona. He spent thirteen years there learning,discovering new materials, and methods.He worked with colleagues like Jose Tirado, Ramón Cugat and Jordi Botella. In 2012 he left as a luthier ready to begin his own solo project and in 2013 established Lorita Basses.
