Information:
Morgaine Guitars were made by German luthier Jörg Tandler. Tandler began making guitars in 1983, while still at school; when he left school he started an apprenticeship at Hoyer. When Hoyer closed he went to work for Schack Guitars and then Hanika Guitars. He started his own workshop in 1994 and launched the Morgaine brand name.
Morgaines guitars were designed as modern/vintage guitars and included the Strat-style Mintage model (introduced 1995), the tele-style Chopper (1998) and the LP-style Beauty (1995). There were also original Morgaine designs including the Austin Rocker and Krahl models. From 2005 onwards Tandler increasingly focused on custom builds and so changed the company name to "Tandler Guitars" and stopped using the Morgaine brand.
