Rand Havener launching the Rand Guitar Company in 1987 and production lasted until 1989. Rand instruments were high quality superstrat electric guitars: Tom Anderson's company made the bodies, necks and pickups and Rand Havener did the final shaping, assembly and finish. Rand guitars were played by Vivian Campbell and the Misfits amongst others. Very few Rand guitars were made in the 1980s but the Rand Guitar Co. website suggests that some designs were reissued around 2007-2008.
