Dave Simmons made custom hand crafted high-end electric Bass guitars. David Simmons had many years experience in stringed instrument repair. In 1998, Dave moved from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia to the mountains of western North Carolina and started a new shop doing repairs for local area music stores. All along the way he was gearing up to build hand-crafted Bass guitars. In 2003, he steered completely away from repairs and concentrated on custom Bass building full time, with the occasional repair for friends and band mates. In 2009 his line-up included 3 standard bass models: the Echo, Clipper and Thorus models. In 2009 prices started at $1950 for 4-string models, $2050 for 5 string models and $2275 for 6-sting models.
