This is a great little tube practice amp. It uses a 12xwa and an EL 84 . The speaker is an 8 inch
British engineered Turbosound.
A 12 inch speaker Cabinet by
Bugera is also available the
112TS. The speaker is also Turbosound. This makes a nice stack. The tubes are Chinese so I am modifying mine with Sovtek tubes. Some guys modify with the more expensive Tung Sol tube set... But they are made at the same factory so the Sovtek set for
the Bugera V5 is a good choice.
Both tube sets are available on
eBay at reasonable prices.
The better tubes will render a better sound. This amp is perfect for home or jam use.
